In light of the history of underrepresentation of Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) in the publishing world, and given the particular economic hardship that COVID-19 is causing to BIPOC, we are extending the deadline of the Spokane Prize in Short Fiction to July 15 for all BIPOC. Additionally, we're offering a reduced submission fee of $15.
Manuscripts must have a minimum of three (3) stories of fiction totaling at least 98 pages.
All United States authors, regardless of publication history, are eligible. Manuscripts must contain page numbers and a table of contents. There is no maximum page count and stories may have been previously published in journals, anthologies, or limited edition volumes, but cannot have been published in a previous collection by the author.
One manuscript per submission.
